A space for empowerment and research where the ancient art of hair suspension merges with biomechanics, functional alignment, and postural health. We explore movement from a somatic perspective to ensure a conscious and sustainable practice.
This is a unique opportunity both for those approaching the discipline for the first time and for experienced practitioners who wish to deepen their body care. Our focus is on preparing the skeletal and muscular systems to maintain the body at its full capacity, ensuring the hair suspension technique is mastered in a healthy, high-performance way.
Our goal is to provide new stimuli for movement, harmonizing the gap between artistic expression and structural integrity to expand the possibilities of this beautiful art form.
What's included?
• A theoretical and practical introduction to hairdo for the suspension.
• An overview of postural health and the systems involved in suspension techniques.
• Functional exercises to optimize alignment, strengthen internal muscles, and release tension.
• Practical hair suspension sessions emphasizing postural and emotional awareness, incorporating breathwork and vocalization to enhance fluidity of movement.
• A dedicated space for those experienced in the discipline to practice and experiment. Engage in movement improvisation exercises to allow your natural flow to emerge.
This workshop is aimed at people with previous physical work, circus artists, dancers, aerialists, acrobats, practitioners of yoga, pilates, martial arts etc. People who have body awareness and desire to investigate this technique.
For people with previous experience in hair suspension, it is necessary to be willing to delve into this technique in a healthy and conscious way.

Your mentor
Ingrid Esperanza
is a Mexican artist, performance creator, and researcher with nearly twenty years of experience in hair suspension. Her approach has evolved from dance and hybrid languages toward a dimension that integrates the symbolic, the somatic, and stage presence.
For the past eight years, she has dedicated herself to expanding this discipline through research and conscious training, developing a methodology that views the technique as a tool for personal exploration. In her practice, self-knowledge and a fine-tuned listening to the body allow for the development of a unique personal language.
As a high-level mentor, she has guided the training processes of artists from world-renowned companies such as Cirque du Soleil, Finzi Pasca, Franco Dragone, and Cirkus Cirkör, while collaborating with various contemporary circus companies across Europe and Mexico. Her teaching promotes a practice oriented toward well-being and physical integrity, placing special emphasis on body preparation and the balance between grounding and suspension to facilitate a safe and conscious evolution.
