Schedule

The Online  Hair Suspension workshop consists of three sessions of three hours each:

Day 1

In the first session, you’ll delve into theoretical insights on postural health, as well as an exploration of the musculoskeletal and fascial systems involved during suspension.

We’ll meticulously review the hairstyle’s intricacies and the materials required (combs, metal rings, etc.).

As homework, you’ll practice crafting the hairstyle on your own, following the steps provided in class while maintaining your feed on the ground.

Day 2

Moving on to the second session, we’ll revisit the hairstyle’s steps and address any queries that arose from your initial attempt. You’ll then do the hairstyle under my guidance as needed.

Afterward we’ll engage in a warm-up to prepare the body and then try out the suspension while your feet will remain grounded.

For this session, it’s essential to have an anchor point for a simple pulley system or rope/slings, adjusted to the correct height for the hairstyle (e.g., a door frame bar). You’ll also require two carabiners and a swivel. A nearby mirror will aid in observing hairstyle details (if unavailable, your computer camera suffices).

Day 3

Finally, in the third session, you’ll practice the hairstyle with my guidance before embarking on suspension. We’ll begin with a joint warm-up, followed by transitioning into suspension. Each one goes at their own pace.

For this session, ample space for movement exploration during suspension is crucial (while maintaining contact with the ground). Having a pulley system to adjust height is ideal, but alternatives like knot adjustments are viable.

Ensure your hair’s carabiner reaches half a meter from the ground for the initial exercise, and you’re standing while holding onto your hair for the second one.
