A shared journey into the art of Hair Suspension
An opportunity to enrich and exchange knowledge about this practice and above all to dance and fly together in a natural environment on the fascinating Oaxacan coast.
This journey invites you to connect with yourself, with nature and with all the participants in this celebration.
We will dive through the inner universe of this practice, observing the deepest sensations as well as freeing our natural movement flow to express ourselves and explore a diversity of possibilities that this amazing practice can offer to us not just on a physical level but as a creative ritual of transformation.
We want to allow new stimuli to emerge for the movement and expression of this wonderful practice.
During the Gathering you will:
• Review the hairdo technique for floating.
• Deepen the understanding of the anatomy in this discipline.
• The masterclasses (see below)
• Participate in a recreational activity in the nature on our days off.
• Participate in a Temazcal ceremony, an ancestral ritual of purification
• Stay at our accommodation together with the other participants.
• Eat delicious vegan/vegetarian breakfast & lunch.
• Travel from/to Puerto Escondido airport.
For those who will have their first contact with the hair suspension and for those who wish to revisit, deepen, and nourish their current practice.
This journey is open to people who practice any discipline related to body awareness and movement (circus artists, acrobats, yogis, dancers, pole dancers, movement explorers, etc.)
People with and without previous experience in this art form are welcome.
