If you'd rather step away from the screen and join me in in person, then this is the option for you! This multiple day workshop has been carefully designed to provide you with all the necessary knowledge to begin your journey into this amazing practice.

Objectives

The program focuses on preparing the body and mind for the hair suspension practice, ensuring a healthy approach. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the hairdo for the suspension, including the importance of alignment, strength, and mobility. The program includes:

• A theoretical and practical introduction to hairdo for the suspension.

• An overview of postural health and the systems involved in suspension techniques.

• Functional exercises to optimize alignment, strengthen internal muscles, and release tension.

• Practical hair suspension sessions emphasizing postural and emotional awareness, incorporating breathwork and vocalization to enhance fluidity of movement. 

Who is it for?

This workshop is tailored for individuals seeking to enhance their body awareness and delve into the physical and emotional sensations evoked by this ancient technique.

 

Aerialists, dancers, gymnasts, movement explorers, Yoga and Pilates enthusiasts, martial artists, and fitness practitioners are all welcome to join.

Requirements

•Body awareness: A keen understanding of your body and its movements is essential.

• Hair length: Participants must have long hair, at least shoulder length.

• No shaved heads: Individuals with shaved heads are kindly requested to consult with me.

• Hair condition: Extremely bleached or damaged hair may not be suitable for this workshop, please consult with me.

• Spinal injuries: If you have any spinal injuries, please consult with me before joining the workshop.

Research Lab

The Hair Suspension LAB offers a unique space for exploration and research, providing an opportunity to transcend boundaries and connect with like-minded individuals passionate about this discipline.

Objectives

This Laboratory fosters a conscious and safe practice, enabling you to tap into your creativity and express the beauty of your own movement.

Through group improvisation, we experience suspension collaboratively, exchanging roles and finding balance through listening and freedom.

At the Hair Suspension LAB, practitioners deepen their practice and explore new horizons. The LAB includes:

 

• Theoretical discussions on hair suspension technique and postural health.

• Specialized exercises to align, mobilize, and strengthen your body.

• Movement exploration sessions to discover new qualities and intensities of movement.

• Opportunities to assume roles of both rigger and participant, building confidence and skill.

• Collaboration and trust through counterbalance sessions and suspension experiments with Bungees.

• Free space to explore hair suspension in a space of care and support.

Who is it for?

This workshop is aimed at people with previous experience who feel confident in their hair suspension practice.

 

Eager to investigate subtle sensations and explore new possibilities of movement in connection with the other participants.

 

* If you need to review the hairdo or needs support to build on your first flights, the Beginner Workshop is more suitable for you.
